6月12日是世界无童工日，这是自2002年国际劳工大会设立“世界无童工日”以来的第17个节日。今年恰逢世界劳工组织成立100年，尽管如此，目前全世界范围仍有1.52亿童工。2019年世界无童工日的主题是：Children shouldn’t work in fields, but on dreams!

2002年6月，在日内瓦召开的第90届国际劳工大会决定将每年的6月12日定为“世界无童工日”。国际劳工组织发布的《2015世界童工报告》指出，目前8500万名童工从事的是一些严重伤害儿童身心健康的工作。“世界无童工日”的设定就是为了呼吁世界各国密切关注日益严重的童工问题，并采取切实有效的措施加以解决。

一直以来，童工问题受世界广泛关注，但在部分国家地区，雇佣童工仍是非常普遍的现象。这在美国电影《逃离德黑兰》中有着直观的表现。
